Thursday 27th February - walk *** – Woodbridge waterfront –
Cloudy with some rain but lovely sunset.
With a chilly wind from the NW blowing and cloudy we had no plans, Mag had
said she would like a wisteria to try and cover the fence imn our back
garden, I checked online and found out that Dobies Garden Centre, so after
our exercises I packed a picnic and set off for Woodbridge around midday
just as it started to rain! We could not believe how full the carpark was
of pensioners mainly in the café. We then searched for the wisteria and
had to ask a very nice man where they were. They only had large ones for
£50 which shocked Mag but at our age its best to spend it so we got one
along with several plants and a book for Maeva, we have never spent so much
in a garden centre! We then drive down to the park near the sailing club by
the Deben to enjoy our picnic, before going for a short walk across the
park, over the railway line leading to the Deben turning left along a very
quiet waterfront with several waders feeding in the mud:) We got as far as
the Tide Mill before returning back to the van and home for the usual hot
water bottle and cuppa plus a nice piece of homemade cake! I was then
sorting my pics out when the sun made an appearance so I whizzed down to
Felixstowe dock view point to watch a lovely sunset:)
